Introducing Fancy & Staple

For as long as I can remember, Fort Wayne has held a special place in my heart. It didn’t seem to matter that cooler places existed, or that we were lacking certain amenities, Fort Wayne was home and full of special memories and all my favorite people. As I got older, I began to look at Fort Wayne differently. I started thinking to myself, “what can I do to make this place better?” I remember my husband and I would spend hours debating what Fort Wayne could and could not handle. We’d dream up potential businesses and fantasize about running them. We thought of everything from a french fry truck (before food trucks were cool), music venue, eclectic bar, recording school, clothing, art, food, and on and on. The goal was always to contribute something awesome to Fort Wayne; the city we grew up in, the city we moved back to, the city we’ve decided to stay in. Now days I’m feeling more blessed than ever. My dream of entrepreneurship has finally become a reality and I couldn’t be more excited about it! I can’t wait for everyone to have this amenity, my gift to the city. And yes, I know how mushy I am. Please know that it comes from the heart, along with french fries, kittens and stickers.
